Hi! So glad you’re here!

I’d love to share a bit about myself with you… As a mom, God has given me an interesting array of experiences. I’m a biological mom, an adoptive mom, and a mom of special needs children. At times, I’ve been a stay-at-home mom as well as a part-time working mom.  I’m also a military spouse and a veteran.  Despite all I’ve learned over the years, there’s one thing I know for sure… I definitely do not have all the answers, but I’m beyond grateful to know Who does and that God has given us His Word to guide us in life and truth.

When I’m not busy doing dishes and laundry or giving hugs and high-fives, my passions include diving into Scripture and sharing what God has revealed through His Word with other women by teaching Bible study at our local church as well as through writing and speaking.  Although I’ve been following Jesus since I was a young girl and grew up as a pastor’s kid, my enthusiasm for the Bible has grown exponentially in recent years as God has used many of my experiences as a mom to draw me even closer to Him.

Quite unexpectedly, after high school God led me to attend the US Naval Academy and then to serve as a naval officer.  Following my military service, I earned a Masters of Education from UC San Diego and taught as a middle school teacher and then as a high school and collegiate soccer coach as well.  Today I love using my leadership and teaching experience to help women engage with Scripture and to strengthen their relationship with Christ.

To sum me up, I love being outdoors and enjoying God’s creation, especially near the ocean, deep conversation with a friend and a chai latte in hand, a tidy and organized home, and pretty much every kind of taco.  However, my greatest joy is knowing Jesus and making Him known.  No matter where God and the Marine Corps may direct our family or what ups and downs we encounter in life, I find my strength, peace and hope in the promises of His Word and in knowing He is walking with me through it all.
